Why Oregon Telemed?
Cascade Medical Associates is a Lane County based medical group of over 20 providers that has been practicing locally for over 40 years. Historically CMA has been the doctors providing care for patients in the emergency department at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center and Occupational Health for employees and employers at Cascade Health Solutions. In 2020 CMA started a TeleMed program in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. That program has now grown to include daily TeleMed access, often getting appointments within as little as 24 hours after being seen in the emergency department. We have completed over 10,000 patient visits with great reviews and outcomes. We always encourage you to see your primary care physician first but if you cannot get in or don’t have one then we are a great solution for a convenient and efficient visit without having to travel to the urgent care. We also partner with businesses to provide TeleMed assessment of patients when they fall ill while at work, to help assess their medical needs and try to get them healthy and back to work as soon as possible. Is it technically difficult?
Is It Safe?
Your privacy and personal information is valued. OregonTeleMed utilizes HIPPA compliant tools and technology to keep your information safe and confidential. As with any health care service, there are risks associated with the use of telemedicine, including equipment failure, poor image resolution, and information security issues. With today’s technology, having a TeleMed visit is fairly straightforward and easy to navigate and very popular. Our scheduler can assist you in getting set up quickly and with little effort. All that is required from your end is a smart phone, tablet or a computer with a camera.
Will it cost me money?
Oregon Telemed contracts with almost all the local and national health insurance companies making us a preferred provider in-network for most carriers. Co-pays are generally similar to your primary care clinic visit. If you are uninsured, we do have discounts for patients paying directly.
