Occupational Health

Cascade Medical Associates has provided occupational medicine services for over 40 years. Partnering with Cascade Health in 2003 and moving to the Suzanne Way location, CMA provides comprehensive medical care to over 15,000 business in the state of Oregon. We have a track record of providing top-notch occupational health that is personable, compassionate and focused on employee health, workforce safety and employee productivity. We are proud members of our community and seek to serve our business partners and community members with quick access to medical care, physical therapy, employee assistance, and health safety management.

Richard Abraham

Dr. Abraham has been a practicing emergency and occupational medicine physician with Cascade Medical Associates since 1979. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is the founding partner of Best Med urgent care and Monarch Medical Weight Loss. He is also a founding director and board member of Summit Bank and is a board member and prior chair of Cascade Health – serving on the boards of McKenzie Willamette Medical Center, CascadeHealth and Attwill Medical Solutions.

Jonell Blase

Jonell Blase completed her undergraduate degree in nursing science with the University of Alaska, and master’s and doctorate nursing degrees with Oregon Health and Sciences University. Jonell has provided healthcare in the Willamette Valley since 1991, working in home health, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care, and occupational medicine. She joined Cascade Medical Associates in 2019 where she cares for injured workers and assists their return to work. Jonell is a certified commercial driver medical examiner. When not in clinic she enjoys her family and friends and tending her small farm with her giant, furry dog at her side.

Marc Braman

Dr. Braman has been practicing Occupational Medicine since 1998. He is board-certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, and has played a leading role in developing the new medical specialty of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Braman sees patients part-time while dedicating the rest of his time to changing  healthcare for the better. He is passionate about providing healthcare as it could and should be. A native of Oregon, Dr. Braman particularly enjoys hiking and wilderness backpacking, along with many other outdoor activities.

Anne Christensen

Dr. Christensen is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine and has practiced occupational medicine since 2006. Dr. Christensen grew up in Lane County, attended medical school at University Alabama Birmingham, and completed her residency in occupational medicine and her master’s degree in public health at Harvard. She has more than a decade of expertise in health policy and serves on the board of Public Health International and is a member of the International Corporate Health Leadership Council. Partnering to improve worker wellbeing in communities and workplaces is her favorite part of occupational medicine.

Lee Davidson

Lee Warren Davidson, M.D. joined Cascade Medical Associates in 1999 as an emergency physician at McKenzie-Willamette. There, he gained experience in occupational medicine and transitioned to practice exclusively at Cascade Health in 2017. He enjoys helping injured workers recover and can relate to the demands of their job. He has been involved with local EMS and is the past chair of the board at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center. When not at work he enjoys time with friends and family, most notably watching his son play high school soccer.

Natalia Hayes

When Natalia Hayes was a child, she would use stethoscopes and bandages borrowed from her mother, a nurse, to treat her dolls. It was therefore no surprise when she completed the registered nurse program at Lane Community College in 2007 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield College in 2009. Since then, Natalia has graduated with a Nurse Practitioner license from Maryville University. Natalia joined Cascade Health in 2018 and enjoys being part of a supportive team helping people heal. In her free time, Natalia is a piano player and a singer, and loves spending time with her family.

Lisa Kovacevic

Lisa Kovacevic is a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing Occupational Medicine with Cascade Medical Associates. Lisa joined Cascade Medical Associates in 2008. She graduated from University of Virginia with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and University of San Diego with her Master’s of Science in Nursing. She served as an officer in the United States Navy Nurse Corps for 5 years prior to coming to Eugene. She is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Lisa is passionate about health and wellness in the workplace and views the population that she treats as athletes at work. She loves the Pacific Northwest with all the outdoor activities. She especially enjoys running, hiking, and stand up paddle boarding. When not spending time outdoors, she enjoys quilting and trying new recipes.

Luci Kovacevic

Board certified in occupational medicine, Dr. Kovacevic is Cascade’s Occupational Health medical director. He joined Cascade Medical Associates in 2007 to provide occupational health services. His training includes injury care, commercial driver exams, FAA aeromedical exams, medical review of drug tests, NFPA 1582 physicals and OSHA- mandated exams. He previously served as a U.S. Navy general medical officer and developed an interest in the operational needs of special communities while stationed with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron-16. Dr. Kovacevic and his family enjoy the outdoors as well as the arts and entertainment that Eugene has to offer.

Camille Leider

Camille Leider, MSN, FNP-BC is from Northern California and completed her professional education at the University of San Francisco. She has worked with general & vascular surgeons in Lane County since 2004. A former emergency nurse, Camille’s practice has focused on people with injuries, acute and chronic conditions related to arterial disease and diabetes, access for dialysis, and perioperative evaluations. She especially enjoys following up with patients as they heal over time. The idea that people can benefit from several modalities at once (medicine, physical therapy, nutrition, lifestyle changes such as improved sleep) is a favorite approach. Camille has also provided care in the areas of internal medicine, sleep disorders, and remote camp nursing.

She enjoys being outside with her family and dogs, looks for any excuse to make dessert, and inherited a serious gardening obsession. She is proud to have continued the tradition of mentoring in the field of advanced practice nursing.

Charles Pederson

Dr. Pederson joined Cascade Health in 2022 after retiring from his position as the medical director for Samaritan Occupational Medicine. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and a Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College. He also earned a master’s degree in public health from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Pederson has extensive training in occupational medicine and is certified as a medical examiner for both the D.O.T. and F.A.A. In his free time,

Dr. Pederson enjoys the outdoors, woodworking and spending time with his family.

Shanlee Pierson

Shanlee Pierson is from Bountiful, UT and has lived in the Eugene area since 2018. She went to college at Weber State University and then received her Family Nurse Practitioners certification from Simmons College. Shanlee has been with Cascade Medical Associates, specializing in Occupational Medicine since moving to the area in 2018. Prior to being a FNP, she spent 14 years in acute care and home health & Hospice working as an RN. Shanlee is passionate about improving patient’s quality of life, setting and reaching goals with patients and treating underlying causes and disease. Her favorite part of working with CMA is helping patient get back to work and be successful I their various occupations. Shanlee enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 kids. Together they like to go camping, paddleboarding, hiking and going to the movies.

Lindsey Poulsen

Lindsey Poulsen joined Cascade Health in 2025. She obtained her BMS degree in physician associate studies at Midwestern University in Illinois in 1997, and her MMS degree with a focus on family medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2004. Her clinical background involved working in family medicine and primary care, and now she is pleased to be continuing to serve patients at Cascade Health by meeting their occupational health needs and helping them attain their goals. She feels one of the most rewarding parts of medicine is educating patients on preventative care and wellness maintenance. Lindsey has enjoyed living in the Eugene community with her family since 2008. In her free time she loves playing league tennis, running, reading, supporting local art, theater, and dance, and spending time outdoors hiking and camping.

Colleen Tuman

Colleen Tuman joined Cascade Medical Associates as nurse practitioner in occupational medicine in 2016. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 2005 and began her career as an intensive care registered nurse at Georgetown University Hospital directly afterward. She received her master’s in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012, specializing in family medicine. Colleen finds working in Occupational medicine extremely rewarding because of the motivation of the patients to return to their optimum health and lifestyles.
